I feel very fortunate to be in the situation I am in, with a happy, loving and healthy family (on both sides), a good stable job and travelling opportunities.
And at the moment, very fortunate to have a warm bed, a roof over our heads, a clean house and living in a peaceful and loving community. Unlike the poor flood victims all around Malaysia.
We’ve been trying to pitch in to help. We did the shopping run and dropped off items at 3 different places – at Harley’s TTDI run by Free Market / Syed Azmi’s team (Allah’s hikmah – everyone knows him now due to the dog-touching event which I actually support), the New Undergarments drive at Dsara Perdana PAC and a toy drive done by a Good Samaritan (the lovely Ju Lian Yap).
We were shopping for flood relief items yesterday and as we were passing the toys section, he himself tugged my hand and said “Mama, let’s buy toys too. Kesian diorang xde toys.”
That’s Mama’s boy! Alhamdulillah.
